I want to do a Linux cert, but I am unsure which one. So far the list includes SAIR, Linux+, LPI, RedHat. Goodness how many more....

At this stage I tend to lean towards the LPI cert as it seems that IBM favours that one, and it is vendor neutral, but then so is Linux+ and SAIR.

The problem I don't want to do one and one of the others are more sought after or recognised. Should I go for a verdor neutral version or a specific version like RedHat? IBM Certified Specialist - MQSeries

I am currently enrolled in a Linux Sys Admin class and we are using the SAIR Linux study materials, which are pretty good. Our class is basically training us to pass the SAIR certs. However, my instructor says if you can pass one Linux cert, its not too hard to pass another, just study up a little on that distros particulars. Most of the core of Linux is the same.
