Which is better

I am doing the SQL Server query optimization. Which one is better - Clustered Index seek and Clustered Index Scan? Also, I want to learn how to use and interpret execution plans. Can anyone suggest a good resource for that. Help, please.

A seek is always better as it locates the data rather than having to scan the whole index.
