The plus-side of (x)Harbour is that there is a very active (Open Source) development community working to make both Harbour compilers the best Clipper-compatible as possible, and hopefully without the bugs ;-)
If you need an updated development environment to get your Clipper apps into the world of Windows, Webbased, Services & Soap, etc., you'd better revise your strategy. Even though it is possible to achieve all these features with the xBase language, using current tools/compilers, I'd advise to go for either a .NET or Java based development path as these have much more future in them, mostly because of the big companies/bucks that are behind them.
