which file save netmask and broadcast

Hey mingx98,
If you are using RedHat Linux6.2 then the settings of netmask and broadcast should be on
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
do a cat on ifcfg-eth0
to find about loopback try a cat on ifcfg-lo
This should solve your problem.
