If you are using visual studio 6, have a look in the tools. I don't have it on my current PC but there is a tool that does something similar to process explorer.
Not sure what MS have done to Process Explorer. It used to fit on a floppy, now it is 3Mb and does exactly the same stuff as when it was 1Mb.
