Which eventprocedure is needed?

There is a form with a subform; I need the following procedure:
If me.parent.recordsource = "Project" then
me.werknummer.value = ""
else
me.werknummer.value = me.parent.werknummer
end if

With an Insert query I put the data for the other fields in the subform.
at the same time the sub above need to run
I tried beforeInsert and several others but, nothings happened
The problem is: with which "event procedure" I can call this function.
