Hello,
A while back I had posted a question with regard Windows NT and how to tell which device is in use by which process. For example, if you are in the midst of labelling tapes and perform a ctrl+C to cancel the process (from cmdln) the window will hang and the tape / device will not let go of the tape. Sorry NT 4.0 SP6a with Networker 5.7.0.0 Build 112. No one seemed to have a valid response a while back. Since then my colleague and I have done some research and located a decent program to provide such information. At the " site, there is a program called Handle Viewer. This program provides in-depth information as to what process belongs to what device etc. In this manner a person could then determine what device is currently in use by nsrmmd and kill the process. This has been successful in environment as described above. I wanted to share this information as I felt it valuable to note.
Take care,
CLF
