Which DB components would you recommend?...

Hi,

I am in need of some additional DB aware components, for example calendar, lookup editbox and dbgrid with advanced features...

Does anybody have any recommendations for example an all in one package or bundle which includes all of the above? (and more if possible)

I'm running on D6 and D7.

TIA

The JVCL includes most of these. They've been in my D7 palette for years, but I never think to use them. I generally code 'lean and mean' and just grab standard components and tweak as needed rather than add code bloat.

Thanks, it has everything that I need, I completely forgot to look at the JVCL myself!

I would like to be able to tweak existing components but that is beyond my skill level at the moment. Thanks again.

devexpress all the way, not cheap though, but a well worth investment :)

I may treat myself to devexpress.

As a side note, I've just purchased Fast Report - - I would recommend this to anyone who has found database reporting difficult, setup and running in minutes.

I use Fast Report as well. My old beef with it is that, while it is more powerful overall than Crystal (and infinitely easier to install), some things are much harder to do in Fast Reports. I still use FR whenever I write a custom report within an application but for my day job I find it hard to beat Crystal's interface.
