Which Database Software to use?

We are currently running Oracle 8i and need to export some of the data off to CD and distribute it. I'm looking for something that would (ideally) not require install on clients computers and would still maintain searchability. Any thought would be appreciated.

You might also want to investigate XML.

assuming that your data save is not TOO big ... export as csv file ?

available to read in ms excel etc
