OK, I'm just a simple "phone guy" trying to get dial-tone on a 7940 IP phone. I bought a video CD from CBTNuggets.com for CCVP. As good as it is, it's focus is configuring analog devices and digital trunk interfaces.
I have a 2801 with Call Manager 3.3, and I can get the IP phones to register with call manager, but I can't get dial-tone, DTMF or place/receive calls. Please, can anyone tell me what course or training resource I need for the IP phones? ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You need the Cisco IP Telephony class (CIPT) to learn how to use the CallManager. Currently, I think they're teaching CCM 4.1. There is CIPT1 and CIPT2 to get through all the stuff in CallManager. The first one is all you need IMHO.
For foundation you should have the CVOICE which covers configuring trunks, signalling, and telephony basics but if you're a phone guy you should know most of that already.
