Thanks badco,

I have used the command above but how can I know set the time bias which seems to be incorrect on my server(GMT +/- xx hours or say something like MET instead of CEST for example).

look at timezone, or TIMEZONE ... under solaris they are in the /etc directory ...

try: man -k zone

what would happen if I stoped my system clock?

I am running a o2 sgi irix 6.5.11

would my licences stop working?
