Hi all!

I use SSI on my webpages.

Is there an ideal location within the html code to put my SSI calls?

For example:
- Is it better to put an SSI call at the top, middle or bottom of an html page?
- Should it be placed beneath or above a form? etc.

Here's something I'd be using:

<!--#include virtual="/scripts/ssi/template.txt" -->

Thanks!
Jenny :)

As far as I know, you can put them anywhere. So, best thing is to put them wherever the included stuff would go if you weren't using SSI's :)

(I use them all over - top, bottom & middle ;-)) One by one, the penguins steal my sanity. X-)

Hi Jenny,

It depends on the content of your include-file and the code in file that calls it. But most of the time the place is at the top I think.

If you only put some specific HTML-code in the include file you want to put that on a specific place of the file that calls it.
