I changed my computer from one network domain to another one and my entire profile was re-created. I managed to migrate all my Favorites, MY Documents, etc. However, there are some changes to my configuration that are gone.

The one that I can't live without is the having the BCC available to me when I send out an email. And when I use the Online help this leads me to an "arror" near some "Option" that doesn't seem to exsist in my Outlook 2k3.

I trust someone will be able to both explain why it went away and how I can get this Outlook configuratoin back.

Thank you,

Zam

The BCC field is accessible whether you are writing a new message, or replying.

When the message is open, simply click "view", then "BCC field".

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

Thank you. I'll try this when I get to the office.

While in a new message, when i go to "View" I do not see a "BCC Field" option.
Where can I get it?
Why did it go away when my profile changed on my Windows XP Pro computer that was placed in a new network?

Is there any way that I can just go to the old profile and copy this stuff over and have my original configurations?

Thanks.

From a new message, find the "Options" tab on the toolbar (the toolbar that has the "send", "insert file", etc. options. Click the arrow (not the word "options") and you should see a "BCC" option that you can select.

that is what I thought I was doing. I'll check again tomorrow to be sure. And thank you for the step by step. this makes it diffinate and if its not there, I'll see how to get it back.

any reason why my Outlook configuration changed when I changed profiles? anyway to get the old profile copied from the old one to my new one so I can have all my old configurations back? Would it be as simple as just Copy/Paste one profile to the other?

It sounds like you have Word as your email editor. With that option, then the BCC isn't available under View..
If you take off Word as your email editor, then the BCC becomes accessible. On new profiles, it defaults with the Word as the editor. When setting up my users, I always take that off because it causes several issues with some macros and some weird lockups with Word in the background.

To take word off as the editor, tools, options, mail format and uncheck the box that makes word your email editor.
