I'm just learning SSIS and I've created a new Import package using the following method.

start -> Run -> DTSWizard. I created my import from an oracle db and saved it as an SSIS package.

Now I want to open it in BIDS to edit my package.
I selected File|Open|Project/Solution ....

But I can't find where SQL Server saved the package.

Does anyone know where to look.

Never Mind. I had to create a new project first then add my package to the project.

Sometimes you can open a .dstx file without creating a project, but then you can't do things like editing the connections, etc. Which makes life very interesting. @=)

Usually, to do that, I open up BIDS blank and then go to Open -> File. That's when I only want to check something real quick, though, and don't plan on editing anything. And, as I said above, there are just certain things you can't look at when you do it this way.
