hello wizzards,

I have a external Etech Bullet modem (56K6-V90) everything is working fine, but I can't see in my status bar whether I'm connected and with what speed (in NT4-SP4-Workst)
Under Win98 I used to be able to see this.

Any ideas??

I think it's a bug in NT
I can't see it either on the Server or other NT workstations.

But you can bring it up by going to "My computer"
"DialUp Networking"
Click the "More" button
click "Monitor Status"
Click "Preferences" TAB
(down in the bottom of this window you have a few options)
Check either radio button you like

Hope this Helps

I've noticed on my NT machine that if I have IE or Outlook automatically dial my connection that I do not get the status lights. But I have a shortcut on my desktop for my dial-up connection and if I connect using that(or directly from Dial-Up Networking)then I get the status lights.
