Hi all,

I am trying to find a product to be able to store XML data. I would like to use a database, because the storage engine needs to be multi-user capable, as well as be able to search quickly.

Does anyone know of any low-cost, good products? I would be using either Visual basic or .NET to access it.

Thanks!!

MSDE is free for small databases (5 users or fewer, 2gb or smaller). But be advised that searching on XML data in a database isn't the fastest thing in the world, as the XML entry would be stored as an NTEXT column (text blob), and you can't index those.

Chip H.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering if someone had a better idea of where to store them. I know there are XML databases out there, but I'm not sure if any are good, not expensive, and will work with VB.NET.

Thanks for the reply Chip.
