I had a look at this a few months ago and I used Insight Manager which I believe you can download for free from Compaq. I did find it a bit of an administrative nightmare trying to work out how to use the s/w though. If you have any Compaq machines you can install Compaq Management Agents on your desktops and servers and they are great for information retrieval once you've worked out how to filter out all the cr*p! You can set up email alerts for almost any eventuality too. It's a very powerful tool!
