I don't understand when people tell me to install the application on another server and have the client installed on the citrix server. In this case it is a fax program, why can't I just install the program on the Citrix server? If I install it on anotherserver does that server have to be a Citrix server as well? If not then how do the two connect?

I don't get it.

Thanks for any commments,

Winston

Some software, such as databases generally and faxing software consist of a client part and a server part.

In this case, the server part should reside on another machine, and all terminal servers run the client part so that the data or resource is properly shared.

What is happening is that the terminal server is acting as a single huge client to the data/resource, and shares its connection to the terminal server clients.

I hope this is clear!
