two part question ! Firstly, we will be updating some of our 2003 Servers to SP2 in the comming week or two. During this process, I also want to install all critical and security updates which are post SP2. Unfortunately some servers have limited bandwidth, and my maintenance window is also limited. This means that windowsupdate.com is not really good enough for my situation, so I'd like to download all the critical and security updates which are post SP2 and have them ready for installation.
Does anybody have any ideas where I can get a list?
Second question - I've heard that when I'm installing multiple updates which require restarts, I should use qchain to ensure that the correct files get instaleld. However, I can't find out where to download it for Server 2003. Can anybody help me out on this?
And finally ... when running qchain, do I literally just install the updates (withuot restart) and then double click qchain ? I thought perhaps qchain was used to do a type of slipstream on the updates. The process I've just mentioned seems a bit too simple
Thanks in advance
