Hi there, anyone know of a good newsletter that I can subscribe to that tells about new threats? I looked on the symantec site and mcafee with no luck...

thanks!

For spyware? Not that I'm truly aware of, Symantec has a virus letter that is launched for level 4/5 threats.

Spysweeper has a built in "News Letter" functionality that is supposed to be updated with new threats and general information (haven't used it though, I refuse to pay, at present, for spyware protection).

Lastly is Panda's "Virus Portal"

That and keeping up to date on forums such as these are your best bet.

That's kinda what I thought. Thanks for the link too, it lists them pretty nice.

I like keeping up to date on this forum too, great people 'round here!!

Cheers.

CERT has a newsletter that contains a list of threats, bugs, malware, whatever and listed by platform/software.

The CERT/CC is no longer accepting subscriptions to the CERT advisory mailing list, and it will eventually be phased out after subscribers have had an opportunity to subscribe to one or more of the US-CERT mailing lists."

Here is the link for the US-CERT lists:

Thanks for the tip!
