Where to find 'Registered to' details 1

Hi all, can you tell me where to find and amend the 'Registered to' information, ie the info you get when you right click my computer and do properties. Also is it the same in NT4

You'll have to edit your registry, under the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Best to make a backup of the registry before messing with it.

Yup, that's right, but just in case you don't know the "run" command it's "regedt32".

You might like to use a tweaking tool - x-setup (

is good - also gives information about which registry key its tweaking.
