where to download irix6.5

You cannot download Irix 6.5 as it is not available. You can download the Overlays that come out every now and then but they have to get "old" before you can download them (ie you can download 6.5.16 now when 6.5.19 is out)
You need the base 6.5 to install the overlays. You can buy them from ebay.
