Where to buy SQL Server Reporting Services?

I have had hard time to find the place where I can buy SQL Server Reporting Services. From Microsoft SQL website, it listed about $5000 for SQL server 2005 Reporting Services.

Since we already have SQL server 2000 on our database server, I am trying to find just the SQL Reporting Services component(if possible). If you know where I can get it, please share with me. Thanks so much.

SQL Server Reporting Services is included when SQL Server (2000 and later) is purchased. There is no additional charge for the RS component--it just has to be installed/configured.

just to be pedantic,

SQL Server 2000 didn't include reporting services in the initial releases because it wasn't ready until about 2 years later.

I think it was possible at some point to download RS for 2000, I've not done it myself, or come across a place to download it.

If you've got SQL Server 2000, you may be able to request a copy of RS by contacting microsoft direct...
