I have a navigation interface designed in flash, and would like to have the buttons and other interface elements move and change and transition into the next page on click. I understand all the principle in getting a movie made and such, but how do I make my once static page move? Do I make another swf? Scene?

I really only need a push or a general idea. I think once I know the direction to think I'll be able to do it.

Hi there!

In what manner do you want the elements on your page to move? It sounds like you want them to move to the right & change their shape - ?

I just want my buttons to move out of the way to make room for the next page to slde in.

You can do two things here:

1) Make a motion tween which moves you buttons off the stage when your movie gets to a certain frame.

2) Embed your buttons into a movieclip which gives you loads of control over their position, size and appearance. All you have to do is select the button while it's on the stage and use f8 to convert it into a movieclip - it will still preserve all of its button actions. You can then use the new clip's _x and _y properties to move it around the stage.

Perfect. Thanks, everything seems to be working now--btw, I went with the movie clip option.
