I'm trying to edit a macro in Excel and when I try to do so, a message tells me that I "cannot edit a macro on a hidden workbook. Unhide the workbook using the Unhide command."

I have no idea what the Unhide command is - how do I "Unhide" a workbook? And, what is a "hidden" workbook?

Hi,

You CAN edit macros in a hidden workbook. My PERSONAL.XLS workbook is hidden and I NEVER unhide it in order to ADD, CHANGE or DELETE macros from it.

alt+F11 toggles between Excel and the VB Editor.

ctr+R makes the Project explorer visible.

In the Project Explorer, you will see ALL the workbooks that are open in this instance of Excel.

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]

BTW, UNHIDE is in Window > Unhide..., but why bother!
