i have a webpage i wrote & when i view it on the internet i get the box with the red X in it. when i check the properties for the box i get the above.

viewing the source does not show this in my html editor or the view source on IE.

i do not have any "ads" on the webpage.

You may not have any ads (I'm not saying you do - I'm attempting to help you solve this problem)... Do you have Zone Alarm installed/functioning? And if you do... do you have ad blocking enabled? Try turning that off and let us know how you go.

shut down ZA & the X box went away. thanks.

now, how can this happen, because the address it gave is the standard router address?

Suggest you emai the Zone Alarm people and ask them that very same question. I don't use that product. I could be that you had a div or an ID on something that made it think it was an ad (sometime an image of the exact dimensions as a banner - 468px x 60px - will trigger such a response).

I'm glad you managed to solve your problem so easily.

Cheers,
Jeff
