Where is the root directory for anonymous?

All,

I am using WU-FTPD, and enabled the anonymous, it automatically assigned a root directory for this user, but i dont know where it is and it has no permission to create anything.

Who can help me find it out?

To find the root of the anonymous ftp account do the following:

grep ^ftp /etc/passwd

The base will be the 2nd to last field.

As for being able to upload files... Most sites are not enabled for anonymous upload. If you still want to allow it, read the following howto:
