In NW4 it was in Monitor, and I don't remember using it in NW5. I needed to secure my console, now using NW6, and couldn't find it. Any help is appreciated.

There isn't one

You are expected to use the screen saver NLM that you must load manually (can be place in autoexec.ncf). The screen saver is NDS aware and uses your NDS authentication to unlock the system (thats if you shoose to have the screen saver lock the system). Here is a URL to further help you.

Thanks, Provogeek; I've been seeing that nlm lately, and wondered if that were it. Are there any known issues I should know about?

I'm running NW6/SP2; backup software will be on a separate NW6 server (I noticed a possible issue on another thread re: ArcServe & the screensaver nlm).

Yea, I avoid using it my self, there are directory issues I have run into that are annoying, but still workable.

Your better off just putting your server behind a closed door and lock that door. Then just use either a remote hardware control board or use the encrpted password for RCONJ and use the LDRCONAG.NCF to load your remote console.

The command to setup the NCF is just RCONAG6 -ENCRYPT

One step further wold be do download the FreeCon utility from AdRem Software. It's an NDS based remote console utility and use much less resources than both RCONSOLE and RCCONJ Brent Schmidt CNE,Network + [atom]

Thanks again. I believe my problem has been solved.
