HI there everybody,

I have just upgraded from RH 7.2 with Gnome 1.4 all the way to Debian 3 and Gnome 2.2 (not in one easy step).

I am now looking for the documentation for Gnome (any version) on the internet but cant seem to find it.
There is documentation for developing for gnome, but nothing on actual usage....

The reason i am looking is that i cannot do 2 things in gnome 2.2

1) update the themes.... although i can download a theme and point the theme manager to it, nothing happens (i.e. the theme is not applied).

2) i have installed a couple of apps.. openoffice and opera but they werent added to any menus and opera wont run, saying it cannot find a file (which is at the path specified in the error).
I think this is an error in my installation, as it was done as root from a terminal window... is this something to do with the suid?

Any help always appreciated.
