Where is the bar with the "File Edit View "etc. menus???

I've installed Paint Shop Pro X on my work system running Windows XP Pro. When I bring up PSP, it opens normally, but there is nothing in the gray bar just below the top blue title bar. I expected to see the usual list of menus such as "File Edit View " and the rest, but that gray bar is empty!

Where did the menus go? And how do I get them back???

While holding the ALT button press the V button. This should open up you VIEW menu. You'll then want to go to the Toolbars and turn on your menu toolbar.

Unfortunately, I just tried it, and Alt-V produces no change at all, just a quiet BEEP as though I'd pressed a wrong key. Alt-F produced the same beep instead of opening a FILE enu.

The File, Edit, View etc. menus don't appear at all across the top of the scree, that's the problem.

Hmmm, the hunt continues......

I think you'll have to try to re-install it. Seems something went wrong at some point, and the menus did not get created. Just run the installer over itself,and see if that fixes it.
