Anybody help. I have an address book in OE5,which I am trying to find its location to allow me to backup to a floppy. When I go via Windows Explorer to my computer, drive C,Windows, Application data,Microsoft,Address book, the default version is not up to date with the version currently stored in my OE5.

What version of Windows are you using? Mike Wills

Thanks for the reply. I am using Windows ME and the problem seemed to occur after I loaded Office 2000 PEd. After this I lost my filled in Address Book, but I imported it back into OE5 from the default version stated above.
Ever since this, when I add an email address to OE5, it does not update the default version in the file I stated above. Therefore it must be updating another file, which is the one I would like to find

First I'm using Outlook 2000 not Outlook Express.
In Express can you navigate:
Tools
services
Double Click "Personal Address Book"
to see the Path where Outlook expects it to be?

It's most likely that when you installed Office, Outlook was installed with it. It has a nasty habit of assuming you would prefer it to OE, look at Control Panel > Internet options and under the program tab see what the default mail program is.
