Hello all,

I have just been through a new installation of NG FP1 but for some reason when I install the license we have the "enable the visual policy editor" in Global properties is greyed out so I can't use the topology map. When I install the firewall with an eval license the topology map is enabled.

My question is how do I enable the VPE? Do I need to modify my license with checkpoint or what? I can't find anything on the checkpoint web site.

Cheers Simon.

Hi Simon

I am prepaing CCSA NG exam. But I don't have any Checkpoint NG evaluation license. Would you mind send it to me? Please help me.

I have the same situation...I think the Visual Policy Editor
requires a seperate license....Which is a shame...Looks like a cool tool... AJ

it appears (not confirmed with CP) that the "Map" has been disable with NG FP1. If you install NG without FP1 the "Map" is there.

I don't think that the map has been disabled with FP1. However, you do need a licence for it as it doesn't come as part of the policy editor. It's a licenced, chargeable add-on!

Chris.
