The Mac errors 1, 2, and 3 are all refered to memory issues.
I'd just restart the machine or apportion additional memory to the trouble applications.

There is a shareware app called Black and Bleu which lists all the Error codes and their descriptions - very handy. Should be available for d/l at I think.
