Go to "Layout" in the top menu bar & then down to "Layout Properties". It's a pain having to remember that it's moved to this location, and personally, I wish they'd left well enough alone - this is pretty much the only professional program I work with that doesn't have the document setup under File.
We just upgraded to the phantom software OS-10 (mac.)and we're using Quark 6.0. I'm trouble shooting to check for bugs and so-far there are so many bugs that I've lost count. When you want to just save a document over itself the save as dialog box comes up. If you try and save over a older version of quark the save as dialog box comes up and ask if you would like to save over this document and you hit ok. another box comes up telling you that the document is ether already open or can not be found. So then you have to save it under a revised name quit out of quark trackdown the older document then delete the old document and re-name the new one the same name that the old one had. Then you can re-start quark. Now that's what I call working smart. There has got to be a better way to save over a document without having to quit and restart quark evertime you want to update a document.
any advise???
Kevander.....I would suggest you open up your own thread for this...as this issue has come up before and is solved (to some extent) easily.
You could have many issues here...
But basically, if you copy the old QXP file to your desktop, then update it to 6.x, and save back to server...all will be fine in your world...its the most hassle proof way of updating.
But I would open a thread....as your probably on a windows network as well by the sound of it....and thats a whole other ballgame.
Good luck...stick with it, the benefits outweigh the problems.
