I just took over a small job, one of the things that I need to do is server back-ups. They are using WinNT servers, but run ARCserve 2000 to perform several local and Network backups.

They recently changed the admin password and some of the backups have quit working, I searched the forums for password help and found some useful information. My problem is this, the person that was in charge of backups prior to me has left and with him went the knowledge of this software.

I have searched for the *.asx script files and found some but none of them match the one that is running currently. Is there a way to see where the ARCserve program is pulling a script from, and also is there a way to duplicate a script that is currently running?

Thanks

HI,

Go to the "ARCserve server admin" manager
on the Admin Menu, go to ARCserve system account.
supply the current username/password

restart all the engines.

as for the scripts....

modify the current job when you submit the job , it will give u an option to "Save" the job...

you can now save it as a .asx file..

hope this helps

cheers
