I'm doing a NIMADM command from a NIM master to convert a mksysb image from 5.1 to 5.3 and are getting the following error message: I had done this once already and it worked fine. What type of cleanup can I do after NIMADM has run to free up some space?.
Thanks.

Creating nimadm cache file systems on volume group rootvg.
Checking for initial required migration space.
0505-239 nimadm: The volume group rootvg requires 2840554 more 512 byte-blocks
of free space to host the cache file systems.

normally in the last stage of the process, an automatic cleanup is performed of the cached filesystems,so there shouldn't be any leftovers from the last time.
You aren't obliged to use rootvg for creating your cached filesystems, you can also create a different vg to use for the caching, and afterwards you just remove it ( with nimadm -j temporaryvg)
