Where does GM keep the Configuration Information

Hi, I am trying to find out which files contain configuration information for GoldMine 5.7. For example, where are the filters stored? How about the field values, etc.

I support several individual GM users and would like to be able to distribute common configuration data to them.

It sounds like you are looking for quite a bit of information...

filters are stored in GMBase/filters.*

field values are stored in one of many places, depending on the field

User config is stored in the {user}.ini field in your root directory

OK - I am trying to setup common field values for Contact Type, Business, Source, and a few other fields. I do not like the idea of having to edit each computer's GM installation manually - as indicated in the Dummy book.

I would like to instead update these in a few config files and push those out. --Mani

Do you have separate installs on each PC? Have you considered a network install (which would easily solve this problem)?
