Had a user who had auto archive pointing to a specific location on a server - \\serverold\homedirectory\username\
The home username folder was moved to another location (\\servernew\homedirectory\username\). So the path to server old is no longer ther with that user names folder, just \\serverold\homedirectory\

So if the user auto archives, where would the archive file go at this point. The user selected yes and know user states their mail is gone. Is there a default it goes to when the path is no longer valid?

Check under TOOLS-OPTIONS-OTHER-AUTO ARCHIVE. See what the settings point to for the archive.pst file.

I think by default, it will go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\local settings\application data\outlook.

Also look for achive files with the same name just with a number appended to the end of the filename. We had some similar issues with archives appearing to disappear, and it was just Outlook creating a new archive for me with a different name.
