Hi all,

I called Verizon to request a block of 100 DID's. They have a couple of questions that unfortunately I could not answer. They need to know what type of start signal I need and what type of signaling I need.

I would like to know where in the 3300 web interface I would need to go to in order to obtain this info. Or would it be much easier to ping my VAR?

Thanks in advance!

If you have working PRI they should not ask you this kind of questions. Are you sure it's ISDN PRI and not digital T1 trunk?

Thanks for the reply slapin.

I'm sure it's a PRI T1 connected to our PBX. In addition to that we have 6 POTS lines that the system fails over to if the T1 should ever go down.

So if I have a T1 those above questions are irrelevant?

Thanks for your time.

There is a big difference between ISDN PRI and just T1 line. In simple words a digital trunk over T1 is analog-like line but digital and has in-band signaling. ISDN PRI has dedicated channel for ISDN signaling, out-of-band. So, you have to know "who is who".
