I have installed a new CICS and need to hook up a Call Pilot......what pairs does it hook to?????

I always like to use the last available ports on the ksu for vmail. That way if you have a module failure, vmail should still be up and running. Be sure to punch them down in order though (ie, first cp port to port 131 on the ksu and second cp port to port 132) If you flop them, you'll never get more than two calls into call pilot at the same time.

Ditto, ports 115 & 116 on your CICS. Just wire your plug Telco- pin1-W/OR,BL/W,W/BL,OR/W-pin 4.

Oddly, on a recent CICS 8x24 install, I couldn't get the CP to come up on the expanded ports, and had to move it back to ports 115 & 116.

I don't remember the SW rev, but it has been working fine since the install.

Thanks Rik, that's right 115 & 116 on CICS and 131 and 132 on MICS are the last two ports on those KSUs and a great place for vmail ports on ANY Norstar. Of course, for CP-150 the last 4 station ports would be the logical choices.

Seen plenty of techs wiring those call pilots up the wrong way though and then they wonder why they can't get all 4 (or 8) channels to work simultaneously.
