where do i get AUTO-PROTECT WINDOWS AGENT??? B-(

i have this problem where wheneve i try to open a programme,i cant cos this stupid msg keeps coming up...it goes something like windows cant find auto-protect windows agent.logging and network whatever is unable...something with those lines...HELP!!!!! can someone freakin help me here?!!!!! B-(

Sounds like Norton. I had this problem on a hosed computer last month.

Boot to safe mode, uninstall the AV product. Restart, remove the whole AV folder from program files. If you are happy with regedit, remove the bits of the AV that may be left.

Then reinstall.

My problem turned out to be 2 missing dll files from windows\system which were standard MS library files like mfc42 but I cannot recall exactly which they were.
