Hi All

I'm trying to run a "Live Upgrade" to update my system from Solaris 10 u2 to Solaris 10 u3.

The directions for "live upgrade" specify this:
"cd <cdrom>/Solaris_10/Tools/Installers"

However, it doesn't tell me WHAT that "cd" is supposed to be in the 'cdrom'.

Does anyone know what CD they are referring to in the "cdrom" portion of this command?

Thank you!

SJ

When you insert a CD-ROM, provided your vold is running and working properly, it should be mounted automatically under /cdrom/some_name. There should also be a symbolic link created such as /cdrom/cdrom0 for the first drive, cdrom1 for the second, etc.

Sorry, I actually meant what CD are they speaking of when they ask for it? (I know how to use the CDROM, but I don't know WHAT CD they are asking for? Is there a "Live Upgrade" CD I should be downloading from SUN?)

Ah, sorry.

Well, the copy of Solaris 10 I have (quite old) was delivered as 5 .ISO files, sol-10-u2-ga-x86-v1.iso through ...v5.iso.

The directory you mention exists on the second image. It contains a script called liveupgrade20.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. I'm guessing I"ll need the CD that I want to upgrade to...

Thanks
