Hi,

Apologies if I am being stupid, but I can't find the datagrid control in the additional controls listbox. I am using VB 6.3 as shipped with Office XP.

I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light on this.

Thanks,

Martin.

Hey Gallowgate

You can find the datagrid in the references as Microsoft datagrid. If it's not on that list, you should find it under C:\Windows\System32\MSDATGRD.OCX. If it's not there also, do a search with the file search facility under the start menu. Your copy may not be registered in the system registry. To do that place a copy of MSDATGRD.OCX in C:\Windows\System32\ and then type

Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSDATGRD.OCX

in the run space of the start menu and then see if it's available in the controls list of VBA.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Thanks for this. I don't seem to have a copy of the OCX file on my PC but have downloaded one from the internet. Unfortunately, though, when I try to use it, VB says that it is not properly licensed. Perhaps I need a more powerful version of VB ?

Thanks anyway,

Martin
