This will win the stupid question of the year prize I'm sure.

I have a retail application in Foxpro 2.5 which has run successfully in Windows 3.1,95,98 & 2000 by editing the config.sys "Files=" statement. I have a customer who replaced an older workstation with one the "came with" Windows Me.

Where do I put this statement in Windows Me.

Thanks for your collective help!

I haven't used Windows Me, but I don't think you need to worry about FILES=. I think Windows automatically reserves 254+ file handles for its DOS sessions. At worst case, though, you probably have a dynamic CONFIG.SYS that can be set in the properties for the shortcut to the application.

Thanks to rgbean - I did not find this reference on my own. It was very helpful.
