I have a monorail computer. I broke the driver recovery disc that came with it. I tried to write to the co. but, they are out of business. Is there any way of reformating my computer by finding the drivers they installed on my computer. I sure can use some help.

Can you explain a bit more please? Was the recovery disk only way you had of installing operating system (ie, you've no windows install disk?). Is there currently a problem with the machine? I don't know about monorail computers (can see Google turns up some hits) - have you tried Googling for your particular model? - but some manufacturers put stuff on hard drive (sometimes in a hidden partition).

btw - if you have a windows install disk, there's a reasonable chance you could just install that, then find any missing (ie, windows didn't have) device drivers on the net - but more clarification would help us help you.

If you have critical stuff, the probable first step would be to clone the drive. Or if not critical but you want to keep it, do some backups.

Reformatting is an extreme step if you are having driver problems in this circumstance.

Everything the manufacturer put on the board was manufactured by somebody else. That somebody also provided drivers to make it work. So it is a process of discovery, finding the embedded devices, then finding the chip maker and getting the drivers from them. And sometimes that fails and you have to go to some driver websites.
