Hi All

I wish to self study for the 270 XP Pro exam and then take the exam during February.

However, I do not no where to take the exam. From reading most websites it seems to me that MS trainniers will only allow you to take an exam on their premises if you have taken the course with them.

Does anyone know which companies offer the MCP exam without having to take their course as well.

I live in Hampshire, UK, if thats any help.

I look forward to your replies as I wish to book the exam soon.

Thank :)

Dunno where but you can do just the exam in Port Solent (Caramba), Portsmouth (Highbry College) or in Southampton.

try to locate somewhere close.

Iain

P.S. Good luck.

P.P.S. Tell them to shut up with their marketing / sales rubbish and you just want the exam!

Best thing to do is to go to and choose the "Locate a Test Site" from the top menu. It is a bit long winded but if you register you can also book the test online with your local test site. According to Prometric, your nearest authorised test station is Parity Training, Minley Road, Fleet, Hampshire, GU51 2RD.

Prometric is a Microsoft authorised Training partner or something like that lol

Thank you guys. I have just sent an email Prometric regarding this.

I shall let you know how I got on.

Thanks again.

has alternative test facilities to prometric so check them both otherwise I would have had to go 30 miles to my nearest test facility rather the 3/4!!!

I've used both and found them to be pretty much carbon copies in terms of service and ease of use.

Best of luck with your studies.

Iain

I agree with Spirit empathically - check Pearson and Prometric for testing centres, they offer different places!

I almost went to another city to take an exam, then found out I could almost walk to the place in the tech college down the road.

It's a wonder why they don't tell you these things - you have to find out stuff like this yourself.
