Where can I purchase Procomm

I know the latest release, 4.8 was discontinued in 1999, but was still available for sale for quite a few years later. I have a need to purchase 9 licenced versions. Does anyone know where to purchase it in Toronto, Canada or online? Yes, it's still that popular.

I hsven't looked lately, but you used to be able to find copies on eBay and the Amazon Marketplace. I would be very surprised to find any retailers still carrying it unfortunately.

I did a lot of searching and calling around including Symantec's partners. No Luck.

Here's a synopsis of my communication with Symantec:

I called Symantec 1-800-721-3934, found on their website

Spoke with sales. They couldn’t help since the software is no longer available for sale. The sales rep transferred me to licencing. They said “We don’t have information for Procomm and can’t help you” I’ve asked to escalate to the licensing division VP, director, etc. I asked the representative to write my email information down and have someone from the organization to reply stating Symantec’s position on the software. I asked for an email back stating our option to freely re-distribute or make a bulk licence purchase to make copies from what I already had. The licensing representative on 3 occasions refused to write down my email information and escalate to a higher level on my behalf. Symantec refused to cooperate.

The recommended Procomm replacement is PowerTerm. Not as good as Procomm, but it does support SSH and has scripting. You can find it here:

It's unfortunate that Symantec won't release version 4.8 as a cheap online download with no support for those people who still use it.
