Hi, all

I've ever read the thread which 'AviaTraining(Instructor)' mentioned an experimental beta that runs under Windows NT/2000.
Where can I get that Expect ported tclsh/wish8.3?
I don't really mind using it. cuz, I don't use 'interact' command in my test script at all.
Is there anybody who can tell me the place to get it?

I'll appreciate your answer....

The official Expect web site is and it has links to the Windows ports of Expect. You can also find some information about Expect at the Tcl'ers Wiki ( specifically on the page
I can't really give you any more pointers on using Expect on Windows. I've never done any serious work with the Windows port. I have what I believe to be the Cygwin version installed on my Windows 2000 system. It does display some weird behavior.

For example, it doesn't seem to have stdout defined, so puts commands to the console fail. However, I'm able to use Expect's send_user and send_tty to display information to the console.

Also, it doesn't like driving the Windows telnet client. When I spawn the telnet program, it starts then immediately exits. However, I copied to my system a simple telnet client written in Tcl (see and then I was able to spawn tclsh and execute this telnet client script.
