In Sharepoint Designer I see this code around a field that I need to change the FONT color or even the Field background color. How do I modify this code to show a different font color for that field?

<FieldRef Name="Plan_x0020_ID"/&gt

Any help would be much appreciated.

In Designer 2010.
Make sure you are working in Advanced Mode (Home tab).

Select the field you want to edit, then look in your Tag Properties Pane for style. In there, you can change the font and other stuff.

If you don't see the Tag task pane, click on the View tab, then Task Panes, select Tag Properties.

<td style="color: #0000FF">
