where can i find service pack files on my computer

I've downloaded service pack files and fixes and now need to reinstall windows - -but don't want to have to re-download - -can i make a disk of service pack files and updates - - where do i find these files??? i know they are somewhere in the windows folder but don't know where...
 
On my computer they are in C\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386.

Don't know if you can use that folder to actually install the service pack.

You can slipstream the actual service pack files (and patches) into the basic XP install CD to produce a new install CD with all said updates included (but you need the 'install file' for these - not just the end result on your machine) - eg,
